Taste is taste, of course, but I love SS and granite. My stove is SS with a black top, my sink is SS, my fridge is off-white. I can't afford granite but wish I could.
I can't remember the last glass I broke, but I'm pretty sure it was on the floor and not on the counter top.
For the replacement costs involved, I'm pretty sure I could learn to love anything...except the colors of the 70s appliances. Avocado, yellow, etc. Even then, I'd bite my tongue and live with them until they wore out.
Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.

Yea, I hear you. I "think" I like the countertops - as long as they're not a pain to maintain. Whether or not I eventually think I would have paid extra for them is another matter - we'll see. But I'd take Harvest Gold, Coppertone, Avocado, etc, etc. over STAINLESS STEEL! :roll2: But at least its a gas stove - like CPJ says, smooth tops suck wingo ****!

:rotflmao: You better be at Jerry's this year, I really need to meet you...
I've been thinking about this comment - heck I'm just an "every day Joe" whose shooting skills are sub-par at best! Nothing particularly special about me other than my lack of concern about "cultural femininity"!! But I'd be glad to meet cha, maybe get some help with my shootin' technique!

Wife's an architect and has a small remodeling contractor side business, and chose granite for our kitchen.
Mostly for the looks, since she's not quite fond about cooking, but so far it has worked quite nice and maids haven't been able to even nick it, and that's A LOT considering they can easily be compared with the proverbial sailor locked for 2 minutes inside a bunker with two huge solid steel ball bearings...

I took you more to be a blued appliances/walnut counter tops kinda guy :tooth:
Accuracy: because white space between bullet holes drives me insane.

I'm hopin' - just all depends on the timing of everything. If not, next year for sure as I'll be within driving distance then!
