Well, done did it. Cancelled the Chargemaster Lite back order and ordered the full size Chargemaster. For $50 more, and it ships tomorrow instead of maybe in two weeks, and I get a $10 rebate plus a free tshirt. Added in a $4 free shipping item, so shipping was only $5. Good to go.

Yeah, about that funnel pan. It doesn't replace the pan that comes with the Chargemaster, without modification. I think it's too light and you would need to change something in the programming. It's funny because I've been working in IT for over 40years and can program in multiple languages, but I hate to modify things like that because with age I forget stuff and if I needed to replace it, I would have to scramble around.

You can't zero the scale on the Chargemaster with the pan in place? On the Rangemaster and Chargemaster Lite, you calibrate the scale without the pan in place, then place the pan and zero the scale. I thought it would work the same with this replacement pan. Especially since its an RCBS and they say it works with any electronic scale.
If not, at least I'm only out $7 and maybe I can use it on my Rangemaster if I found a use for it.
ETA - I have a funnel that works fine. I only ordered the funnel/pan to help prevent kernels of powder from bouncing out of the pan, if that should try to happen, and to simplify the process. Dispense powder, pour straight into case. No separate funnel needed. That was the thought process anyway.
If a Hornady dispenser that costs WAY less than a CM will let you zeronthe scale, I'm certain the CM will.
The RCBS might not be that much more expensive than the Hornady these days. At least with the sale going on. $209 for the Hornady, $259 plus a $10 rebate for the Chargemaster 1500 right now. I'll be curious to see if the price of the Chargemaster goes back up to it's normal $300+ prices any time soon.

When you pour out the load from that little pan and replace the pan on the CM, it does not trigger the next load for some reason. When I zero with the regular pan and use it, the automatic mode works fine. Maybe it was just me, but I found some posts about that very thing on other forums, but that's years ago now. In my setup, I use the regular pan and just dump the contents into that exact same fancy funnel that you have on my A&D, and then I drop everything into my Satern. This makes for a long drop and it packs the load really well. My match load is a pretty hefty charge of Varget under a very long bullet. This funnel-to-long funnel methodology prevents me from pushing the powder when seating the bullet.

OK. Gotcha. Didn't think about that. I'll play with it when it comes in and see what happens. Possibly, if it is too light to trigger the auto dispense, I might put the funnel pan on top of the metal pan, zero it with both pans, then just lift and replace the funnel pan.
