I've considered this as a knockabout scope. It's FFP, too.

I have used Bushnell/Bausch & Lomb for years , still have some 40 year old ones on some rifles, never had any trouble with them, haven't had any experience with the newer ones but they should be as good or better than the old ones.

I don't see why not. Looks pretty similar to the Millet DMS-1 I had on one of my ARs for a long time. I generally like the 1-4x scopes for EBRs other than the weight. I wish I could find one that didn't add well over a lb. to the rifle with mount.

Since Bushnell bought Millet, i think they might have picked up the design from them..probably one of the best-selling optics that Millet ever had. Of all the optics I've had on my ARs, the DMS stands out as one of the best....

I've never tried one ,but will now.
I've been tempted to try some of those older ones.

If that scope will stand up to stupid recoil that would be a good reasonable price for something to put on my 9.3 x 62 Mauser. Yeah, I know, it isn't a $400 Leupold, but I don't take 300 yard shots with that rifle either. So it doesn't need $400 optics. But if you put anything on that rifle, it better be tough because that rifle's recoil can give you a detached retina. So the scope better be solid.

Don't know that an optic designed for an AR will be your best bet for that application...

Yeah, you're right, a few rounds would probably knock the stuffins out of it.
