And- - - - -there will be at least one old geezer who insists light bulbs are too modern- - - - -hand-dipped tallow candles are better! He probably also shoots a flintlock!

There will also be at least one poster who claims he just needs to hold onto the bulb, because the world turns around him and it will screw itself in!

Naw man, this is simple. It takes 3. One to hold the light bulb and two to turn the ladder.

49% to argue that the bulb should be changed THIS way, 49% to argue it should be changed THAT way...

And 2% to point out that the light isn't burned out yet:roll:

And it is presumptuous to assume the lightbulb wishes to be changed. Who are we to judge whether the lightbulb wishes to give off light or to remain in a darkened condition? Maybe the lightbulb is in the middle of a life altering experience and needs time to work things out. Forcing the lightbulb to be changed against its will is just positively Orwellian!

    Yep, it is hilarious!!

At least one cheetah munching nancy boy claiming that a 270 watt bulb is the oly way to go, and everyone else telling him how it's a damn adequate bulb for small spaces.

Changing lightbulbs in a nuclear plant was a little different.

Ops Manager notices light string in ceiling of turbine building out.
Manager chews out Shift Manager for burned out light string not on Work Request System.
Shift Manager chews out Turbine building AUO(Assistant Unit Operator) for not only not noticing light string out, but also for not writing Work Request.
AUO writes work request as ordered to replace lightbulbs.
Three months pass while Maintenance gets their poop in a group.
Scaffolding is raised to height of light string for bulb replacement.
Electricians complain that it's dark up there and they don't have adequate light to change light bulbs.
Same AUO that wrote Work Request goes over to breaker box on wall and flips a breaker to ON. Light string comes on.
AUO asks, "Can you see now?"
