    So he has done it many times before and the "Sword" always broke, but this time it didn't? I wonder if it just a flimsy prop blade designed to break that didn't or this guy was nuts enough to use a real sword ................even one of low quality to perform his show.

    I think in the sense that if someone pulling a Houdini drowned in a tank of water trying to free themselves from chains.............surely the unfortunate soul didn't intend fer it to result in their death........ no matter how stupid their antics are... so they call it "Accidental". Depends on your perspective, I reckon.

    Several years ago there was a genius doing something similar with a blank round in a pistol against his head and he never considered the hot gas blowing a hole in his head. He's probably comparing notes with that psychic right now.

    As I recall, there were a couple of stories about that happening. One was an actor, but I forget the show's name.

    ETA: John Eric Hexum. The name of the show was "Cover Up" on CBS.
