May Day protests (What does May Day have to do with anything political?) Smashing windows, spraying graffiti, blocking traffic, Throwing dangerous missiles at police, and setting fires! Anything but peaceful protests. 25 arrested. Seems like far to few.

    Protesters are of Russian decent.

If these 25 individuals were still in prison for the next May Day or three......

May 1st is my wedding anniversary. They are protesting the date I became unavailable. Can you blame them?

May Day started out as a pagan holiday to celebrate spring, and has meant many different things to many different cultures. But, it has pretty much been co-opted by socialists, which kind of fits into the mindless anarchy we have been seeing lately with the 'flash' mobs and anti-free speech college protests, and egged on by Democrat politicians.

Significance of May 1st, or May Day? Here's a sort of long article on it. A couple of fellers named Marx and Lenin had a starring role in its significance. :tooth:

Very interesting stuff. So is it possible we can kinda deduce that there are likely some well schooled agitators in the organization of this past May 1st protest? I have my doubts that many of the street thugs we saw on the news were more than pawns in the game that someone used in the game. The ones in the little protest they had near me in Durham likely were guided by Duke University and NC Central students who were minoring in political BS.

Our Russian community is over 30 miles South of Portland. It is "Old Believer" refugees who fled communist oppression since the early 1970s. They would be the last people to celebrate Russia's May Day.

Bring all the common sense you can carry. Unfortunately you will be required to check it at the Portland city limits.

Fat chance. In Portland rioters are a protected species and are catch and release only. This time rioters were hurling full cans of Pepsi at police. I'm guessing it is protesting the recent commercial that "erroneously" portrayed LEOs as actual human beings.

Have you seen the video [video] of the buses parked on the side streets in Chicago and elsewhere during the Trump protests? It's all the same .org's run by George Soros et al. I find the questions/comments of why so few arrests, or why police pull back, as missing the point in a sense. All these cities would require bou coup permitting not to mention foreknowledge that 20 or 30 buses were going to park all day along the right of way of a major thoroughfare. Meaning that these mayor's of these deep blue cities are 100% complicit in the riots that these protest ultimately descend into.

You would be correct on there being agitators whipping up the 'useful idiots' to do the burning, window breaking, and generally making very obvious anus chapeaus of themselves. And the agitators are probably also the 'paymasters' handing out the loot for the shenanigan makers.

How to spot the 'peaceful ANTIFA protesters from the violent ones, and identify the agitators.
The normally dressed ANTIFA protesters will be on the front, sides, and back spewing bile from their cake holes. Look back one row on the front. The agitators are there; there won't be more than three or maybe four, but they are there picking out a 'victim'. The black clad 'berserkers' are in the center. On a signal from the agitator some of the black clad berserkers move forward and attack someone, then quickly move to the middle again. Through creative video editing, the black clad dipwads aren't seen doing the attack; the video is edited to show the anti ANTIFA (conservatives) that were attacked mixing it up with the front rows of 'normal dressed' ANTIFA protesters trying to get their hands on the black clad attackers. The same stupid play is repeated ad nauseum.

What I'm reading on the ANTIFA sites is the push to arm up with knives and firearms, and there is even one group taking Krav Maga training. They keep upping the ante, and they are eventually going to make a mistake and be called.

Why not use the buses as a crematorium. It would cut down on costs.

A battery powered drill and a 3/16" drill bit would be fun. Tires and fuel tanks!

Be sure to drill into the tread area where there's a steel belt. Even a tiny hole in the sidewall at 120 PSI results in an explosive deflation.

Yeah, it does, and putting it in the tread area also hides it.

Two 20D nails twisted together with the heads cut off results in a device that has one prong sticking straight up no matter how it's dropped (or thrown). A few hundred of them ended up scattered along the route the shipping/receiving trucks used at a company where I once worked, during labor "negotiations".

If a feller is just lazy then a few boxes of 3/4" tar paper nails (the ones with the big head flange) work mighty nice, too. A tire hitting one with the point pointing forward will flip the hail point up for insertion into the tire. I've seen that work way too many times, especially if it's a gravel road.

Grants Pass, Gold Hill, Williams, Rogue River, Eagle Point, Shady Cove aren't too bad. Much better than Eugene and Portland. Medford is a dung hole as well. Locals call it Dredford. Eugene is absolutely INFESTED with homeless people and communist sympathizers.

I lived in Grants Pass for a spell. Beautiful town in a Steven King sorta way.
