Red dot versus 1x scope- interesting

This may help some of us that did not heed our parents warnings and kept at it till we needed glasses....
I decided to wear glasses today instead of contacts (has nothing to do with having some booze last night- honest!), and had the glasses off while I was waiting for a call. As I normally do, I was screwing around with guns when I noticed that I can see clear as a bell through a 1x scope. Of course, through a red-dot things are blurry as heck like my normal uncorrected vision.
My thought is that a 1-4x or 1x with an illuminated reticle would be a hell of a good choice of a 'bump in the night' carbine because you would be able to see clearly when you are looking through the optic if you leave the glasses on the bedside table
Just thought I would share that revelation

To make something simple is a thousand times more difficult than to make something complex.
