Gear Review: MagPul "Tejas" Belt

As we've discussed many times, a key accoutrement to effective and comfortable CC is a solid belt. For years I've used either a Montana Slings leather belt or a 5.11 "Instructor" belt. While both work, my Montana belts are wearing out, and the 1.75" 5.11 both had issues fitting in some belt loops and sticks out like a sore thumb in my usual mode of dress.

At the suggestion of a LEO friend of mine I picked one of these up to give it a go. He promised 5.11 stiffness with the look of a quality leather belt. This is exactly what it delivered and then some.
How much better is it? Exponentially so. With both of my carry guns (M&P Shield 9mm and 4.25" 1911) I've practically forgotten the guns there there. I'm officially retiring my Montana Slings carry belt. The MagPul Tejas is, thus far, the best gun belt I've ever used. It's thick bull leather reinforced by a layer of polymer. Money VERY well spent. I'm about to pick up a second one in black.

looks about the same as most other good leather gun belts.
I have one in black for everyday wear. Use the Instructor belt for field carry.
The Tejas looks like a nice alternative.
