$100 cash rebate on all 1895 Marlins if you buy by 7/30/2017 and mail in by 8/30. Not trying to enable you, much.................

Good looking gun. I love the full length magazine tube

I'm not big on the laminate. But, I prefer the larger loop and agree that the longer tube looks better. Besides..........more bullets!

I'm ashamed you have to ask:uhm:

Of course you need one! C'mon! Wake up! Go get it and post some pics!

Already have one iron in the fire with the .480 Ruger in Purgatory. Once that's done, I can focus on what's next.

    Just planning ahead.

Meh. The Magnum Research? Hell yea! The Guide Gun? Nice gun but too easy. You need to work for it harder. You need a quest for a really cool one.

I've never gotten into the age thing with Marlins. Never really been a Marlin fan other than in terms of the .45-70.

So, it doesn't really matter to me the collector value or age of said Marlin. I just want a good .45-70 platform.

The big loop is a great idea, but the full length magazine adds weight and not a lot of functionality. 4+1 is plenty in the 45-70. The 6+1 adds forward weight that is not really needed in my opinion. I do think it looks better. You still need a mount like XS System mount.

This may sound crazy to you but the added weight of carrying six rounds only exists if you actually put six rounds in it. My 1895CB holds 9 in the magazine and in the 15 years or so that I've had it, I don't think that I've ever put more than three rounds in it at a time.

What is that? Isn't the 336BL only chambered in 30-30?

So I'm screwed. I gotta get the gun to go with the dies.

    Right?

No doubt. At least one but two or three variants would be ideal.

Dies and no gun? Well that's just flat out wasteful! Better order it soon

Yeah. I think I'll need a Contender Pistol barrel again. I had one once. Sold it like a fool.

Huh. Where have I heard "you should get a 45-70 barrel for your TC" before? Odd, I seem to remember hearing that.

It was always a possibility. It's just not high on the list. But........it IS on the list somewheee.
