luckily the line broke

kind of a hot day.
dog was bored....she's a pup so brought her to the river to play and cool off.
may as well grab a pole.....bout the 3rd cast tie into a monster rainbow.
sucker putting up a heck of a fight digging the bottom like a brownie....looking for a landing area.....not really wanting to catch it.
Ting line breaks.....SWEET

Hopefully in a day or two I can show one of my kids catching it

I was wishing this one would break the line, but nooooo!! He had to get tangled up in a couple of other lines as well. About 4 ft long, half that length in teeth and all of it attitude. For some reason my wife would not let me bring him in the boat. :roll2:

If you're a catch and release trout fisherman, like I am, and use rodeo rules (8 seconds on the line is the same as landing one), having one break off is not quite as painful. But, I still would rather land one than lose it.

Today the big one wasn't playing.
My daughter did catch her first trout though.
A pretty nice rainbow.
Her brother has been wanting to try trout and did.
He liked it.
Can't get the picture to upload though.
