Luck continues. Yesterday I got one in between the rain showers and today I got another one in bright afternoon sunshine. I got five birds now in the freezer. Enough for another bird w/bacon sauce :)

    If you broil or grill it bacon's the ticket. Keeps it from drying out and compliments the flavor, and it is healthier. However, I can't get away from rolling it in milk and egg and dredging it in flour and baptizing it in the Holy Oil. I love fried venison, I love fried chicken, I love fried dove, and I know in my heart of hearts that those birds right there will go magnificently battered and fried with a good gravy and mash taters or biscuits. Ahh Manna from heaven!!! It's what's for dinner, I wish.

    Oh yeah, if I do BBQ them with the bacon wrapped around, it will have a gutted and gilled Jalapeno under the bacon.

    Son that's somebody with nothing to do with his time but keep me in trouble with mom.
