Spent a bit of money today (very little)

A few weeks ago I saw a very heavily discounted Savage Axis' in one outdoor shop's web pages. As my Rem 798 shoots 125 grain FMJs almost 10 inches higher than 170-180 grain hunting bullets it's been a small PITA when I train moving moose target with light FMJs and "constantly" have to use expensive hunting rounds to check and adjust the point of aim. (twice a year, spring buck and deer/moose season). So I got a brainstorm and decided to save some money by buying a new rifle. I got my old Leupold M8 scope with rings so I don't have to buy anything else besides the rifle.
One small sidetrack though. I decided to give my CZ 75 for trading. I haven't shot it much and it can go as I'm on shoestring budget as usual. I have to pay roughly 120 dollars + CZ. Very affordable at this point. Plus I don't have to buy better, much more expensive safe for my guns as the total number stays under six guns.
Now I just have to explain my excuses to police why I need a second 30-06 (what else ) in order to get my license for it. Hopefully I'll get it. Remains to be seen in next few weeks.

So now I can keep my beloved Mauser actioned 798 in hunting tune and use Savage Axis for training with running moose targets with 125 gr FMJs. Clever me. Ask my wife :)
