City counsel of Hollywood, Florida decided to change the name of three streets. Lee, Hood and Forrest Streets. I wonder what they will be renamed to? Who will pay for the signage, loss of business because when a customer looks up their address and can not find it, new drivers license, checks, return address labels for residence? And on and on. Whats next?
Logistics cannot win a war, but its absence or inadequacy can cause defeat. FM100-5

    When I lived in Battle Creek they renamed Skyline Drive after MLK....nobody...literally nobody paid any attention to it.... it's still Skyline Drive to everybody that lives there....

    There already is one named that, I think I would like it changed, should I protest?

    LOL, I was going to say Obama Street, Obama Avenue and Obama Lane. South Florida has to be the biggest region of transplanted liberals from up north in the country.

    Every town in America has a Martin Luther King boulevard. It's more popular than "Main Street".

    Some towns cheated, they have duel street signs. "9th street" and "MLK Blvd".

    Exactly what they did here. However the Southern Generals and such just get yanked down

    Regarding who should pay for those street name changes, I have a proposal for you to forward if you live in Hollywood, FL. At the next city counsel meeting get up and propose that the cost to businesses, private citizens, and all signage change costs be paid out of the pockets of the members of the city counsel. Get up a petition beforehand to back it up. Then watch as the city council tries to pick up that turd by the clean end!
