Being White Is OK?

Just now on local news. Clark College in Vancouver WA had a terrible racist incident! Hand written posters appeared on campus stating "It's OK to be white"!!! How RACIST!!! A Cuban student was interviewed who was afraid. She appeared as white as I do. Many of us are a blend of all 3 races. White, Black, Asian. Why can't we be one race? Human.

Wouldn't that make you a humanist?

Being racist is not an admirable quality, but it is simply a prejudice that is no better or no worse than most of the other forms of prejudice. Mostly, it is a prejudice that may prevent a person from choosing the best person to perform a particular function. We see that failing in nearly every person we meet, either because it exists or because our own prejudice against prejudiced people causes us to see them where they don't exist.

There was a time when we could see the humor in this particular human condition. We are becoming a humorless society because we fear being accused of being perfectly normal human beings.

I am NOT a racist. I hate EVERYBODY with equal enthusiasm and vigor.

When our governing officials dismiss due process as mere semantics, when they exercise powers they don’t have and ignore duties they actually bear, and when we let them get away with it, we have ceased to be our own rulers.
