Season is over for me

Well well. We ran out of deer licenses before the season ended. About the time 
There were seventeen lucky ones this year in our hunting entourage who got deer this year. We shot a total of 72 of them. TOP three numbers were 12, 10 and 9 deer/hunter. Lowest amount of deer were with two hunting buddies who both shot one deer each. Rest were between.
It has been an incredible season for me with my 12 deer and 2 moose I got. But the best part was the time I got to spend with my father. In forests and fields and "countless" hours we butchered our deer. Dad got 4 deer and 3 moose this season. His already 71 years old so he won't be here forever hunting with me anymore so I treasure every hunting trip and every butchering we do together. I know that those hours together hunting mean even more for my father than me. Even as we usually stand few hundred yards away from each other. Forrest connects us while we are there.
This weekend was the first one I spent time with my own family. I know it's not always funny for my soon to be ten years old son and to my wife that I'll be gone every weekend for almost five months a year. I'm grateful for the support I get from my family towards my hunting hobby. Today we had a long walk in wintery forest. 16 degrees Fahrenheit so it was pretty refreshing trip
In the morning I even saw sun rising from our own shoreline with our dogs.
It's been nice again to share my hunting with you even as it looks like our honeymoon is over. Not much readers or commentators this season. But at least someone reads my stories. i just like to give you an insight to the hunting on the other side of the world. I hope you have enjoyed my "reports"

No, there’s no age limit in hunting. Weapons are different thing. We have to apply a permit for every single gun here. You can’t get your own permit until the age of 18 when you are legally adult here. Instead of that you can get a ”permit to loan” weapon from someone. If you are under fifteen you can’t have even that but you can hunt and shoot under a immediate supervision by an adult with gun permit.
My son doesn’t have a slightest interest towards hunting. At least not at this point. But he has to find his own route how to be happy. He doesn’t have to fullfill my dreams or wishes. Time will tell what he finds interesting in this world.

No, we don’t have grouse here. But we have hazel hens, black grouse and capercaillies. Season for them is all ready over.
