Remora holster, belt clip?

zorbazorba Posts: 25,279 Senior Member
My wife has a Remora with a belt clip. Trouble is, the clip attaches to the holster way too low, resulting in the holster and gun riding way too high above her waistline.

Before I call Remora and ask them to make her another one with the clip in a better location - what am I missing here? Why was her holster made this way?

As an aside, I was able to modify my own two holsters to hold my LC9s with the new laser/light attached. One's a clipless Remora, the other is a Sticky. Your seam ripper is your friend!

Have to see a pic while someone is wearing it; but, I suspect to conceal it with a short jacket

Hmmmm - you could be right Ned. A jacket of any kind, short or otherwise, ain't happening in Florida! She's wearing T and tank shirts.

Welcome to the world of having a "holsters that didn't work box".....
My wife and I discovered long ago that what works fine for a guy doesn't necessarily work for a gal....

Remoras do NOT need clips.  It negates the ENTIRE concept of the holster.  You are wasting your time and limiting your possibilities.  I just carried my Kimber 4" 1911 all day long in a standard Remora through cleaning a garage.  Lots of bending, sweating and some crawling under my FIL's house to dig stuff from their crawl space and it never moved.
Tell that to my wife. Right or wrong, she wants a clip...

I've never used the clip that came with my Remora.

Oh I get you brother, sorry I wasn’t thinking 🤣
Now we're all talking the same language. I'll take a looksee per CPJ's suggestion and see if I can fix it or not...

What is she carrying?  Gun-wise, I mean.
Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.

    Yeah... No clip needed.
