Spent the day trimming trees a bushes away from the house. Keeps them from causing damage in a storm and keeps the doors and windows clearly visible from the street and beyond.

Im also friendly with the guy next door. I help him out occasionally and he knows my work schedule and knows when I leave town.

More to keeping safe than being armed.

Having lived in a hurricane prone area for a long time, I've learned that you don't want any leaves, branches, vines, ect... to be able to touch your house. Even a thin branch whipping back and forth against your roof can really **** up your shingles.
