I used some of it to have the F150 windows tinted with ceramic film.

@s in 80 degree weather.  Summer would be suicidal without the tint.

Normally I don’t get refunds, don’t like lending the government money at 0%.  But heavier than normal medical and business expenses over the last few years I think will put me in the black this year with the IRS.  Accountant working on filings as we speak, so we’ll see soon.

Our refund was about enough to pay for the accountant, plus cover a hurricane related loss. Almost to the penny. Good enough for me!

Yeah, that.  I did get a small refund from Colorado.  It's about 5% of what I had to pay extra to the Feds.

That’s what I was thinking but the boss caught me looking at an H&H double on Gunbroker and she informed me the money is going to our retirement account...

What's a refund?  But, the federal came out near perfect. Sent them a check for $15. Oregon state was another matter. Sent them nearly a thousand.

Wish they would just go to a flat tax. Wife ran ours thru one free site and we owed $200. Ran the numbers though a second paid site and we get $300 back.

I need to adjust my withholding. I got $3600 back last year but I have nearly $2400 in interest paid on college loans that showed up this year. I'll probably get back a little more this year. I know, it's stupid to let the government keep your money all year without any interest, but I wasn't paying attention.

So to punish myself I'll get me an AR. Heck, with that much I may as well go "Full Tilt Bozo" and get me an AK too while I'm at it and some ammo for both. The rest will go in my a... Port Folio, is that how you spell it? Unless I can find a good donor for the long range .270 project. Also, there's that other Yugo I have waiting for a 6mm Remington barrel.

Yep BC, fraid so. But I didn't get through til I was 63, and I've been paying it back slowly. But last year I had come into a little money, very little, and decided to speed things up a bit. So last year I ended up with more interest paid so I'll be getting a little more back.

I really like some parts of adulting, but that part where you gotta pay bills and be responsible and all that crap sucks!!!

Sometimes I think the penalty phase of getting busted is worse than porn when it's guns.

She's normally fine with me just shopping.  When she saw the 5 figure price tag it gave her, hummmmm, pause?  Anyway I was just daydreaming.  I can't blow that much cash on a rifle no matter how bad I'd like to own one.  Besides I already have my bucket list dangerous game rifle.

Spent every penny on a 2002 Grand Cherokee Laredo with 88K miles. IN RED (per the wife)!!!! Had a budget and she wanted a newer GC. Told her it might be a while. Took 2 months but I came through.

I got a descent amount back, but I was expecting more with all of the business write offs that I had. The wife cluelessly believed that we would somehow get it ALL back. I still don’t understand why people get penalized (taxed) for earning an income.
