KSA Crown Prince - Palestinians must make peace or shut up.

Talk about an odd news week.

"At a meeting with Jewish leaders in New York last month, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman castigated the Palestinian leadership for rejecting opportunities for peace with Israel for decades, and said they should either start accepting peace proposals or “shut up.”

Citing what it said were multiple sources, Israel’s Channel 10 News on Sunday night quoted what it said were remarks made by the crown prince at the meeting that left those who were present “staggered” by the ferocity of his criticism of the Palestinians. "

    No surprise.

The "Palestinian people" have no history.

    Therefore they are not respected.

They are just a cluster of ne'er-do-wells.

They were not found by the Assyria (721 BC) when they conquered the kingdom of Israel, just Jews.

They were not found by the Babylonians (597 and 582 BC.) when they conquered the kingdom of Israel, just Jews.

They were not found by the Persian empire (539 BCE), when Babylon fell to them, just Jews.

Cyrus, the Persian conqueror of Babylon, was to commission Jewish exiles to return to Jerusalem and rebuild their Temple,a task which they are said to have completed (515)

They were not found by Alexander the Great (332 BC) marched the entire coast of Palestine from Tire to Gaz, only Jews

    Then came the Romans.

They renamed the country "Palestine," but they continued to call the inhabitants as they were called for thousands of years: Jews.

What of the Arab and Turk rulers?

Detailed information about the number of Muslims, Christians and Jews - but they do not mention a "Palestinian people" anywhere.

The numerous commissions of the League of Nations (later the UN commissions) did not find it; all documents of the League of Nations from this period speak only of Jews and Arabs, there is not a single word about any "Palestinians" as their own people.

................. the politicians of the Arab countries were very clear in this matter:

"We consider Palestine as part of Arab Syria, since it was never separated from it. We are thus connected by national, religious, linguistic, natural, economic, and geographical ties. "(First Congress of Muslim Christian Associations, February 1919)

In 1937, a local Arab leader, Auni Bey Abdul-Hadi, told the Peel Commission, which ultimately suggested the division of Palestine: "There is no land of Palestine! ‚Palestine‘ is a term that the Zionists invented! There is no Palestine in the Bible. Our country was part of Syria for centuries. "

"Palestine and Transjordan are one." said King Abdallah at a meeting of the Arab League in Cairo, on April 12, 1948

So, the Arabs did not notice a "Palestine" in the 1940s. In addition, they did not "notice" any "Palestinians" or "Palestinian people".

A bit more up to date?

Syrian President Hafez Assad told the Palestinian leader Yassir Arafat, chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), President of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) and "Father of the Palestinian People"  **

"You do not represent Palestine any more than we do. Never forget this: There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, there is no Palestinian unity, there is only Syria. You people in Palestine are an integral part of the Syrian people, Palestine is an integral part of Syria. That is why we, the Syrian authorities, are the true representatives of the Palestinian people. "

** Yassir Arafat, "Father of the Palestinian People" and there they are, found at last.

I think you're missing the other side of this - KSA announcing support for Israel. In the past, Jordan has had to keep their Israel relationship quiet. This kinda changes the dynamic of how the Arab world will now interact with Israel. Of course this is most likely part of the larger strategic plan to further isolate Iran. Bringing Israel into the fold and placing pressure on Palestine to make peace will help to remove the Iranian influence in the Levant. Right now, two Iranian backed agents in the region, Hamas and Hezbollah, have an open season on anti-Israel actions. This will not be the case after peace and KSA influence spread in the Levant.
