I'm not old enough to know the original, well I've seen a few re-runs. But, I do like this new one from Netflix. Pretty interesting take.

    They're making a new one?

Not that crappy remake from the 90's with Heather Graham and Matt LeBlanc.

I'll have to look it up.

Bill Mumy (original Will Robinson) has a cameo in one episode as Dr. Z. Smith.
    Meh.

It amazes me why they can't remake something like LiS and do it good. Afterall, they're Lost in Space somewhere, right? ................ Anything can happen, so why not use a little imagination?

    I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I've watched a few of them. So far it's watchable.

My son liked the reruns of the old ones, but got tired of what he called the lame special effects after a few consecutive episodes.

It was the early 1960s - what does he expect? CGI?

Any movie that relies "Primarily" on special effects to tell a story is a canner in my book. If there's no story, there's no movie.

Add to it good acting and sensible dialog and you have a watchable movie, despite any deficiencies in production value.

Yep - I watched it as a small kid. It was kinda hokey even then, but its aged well. The FX were no worse than those Japanese monster movies of about the same era!

Oh lol. In that case I have no clue what you guys are talking about :)

This is the original Lost in Space as it aired between 1965-1968. Most of us remember it in Black and White, the color came later. Not to be confused with the '98 remake.

I haven't seen the 2018 version yet so I keeping my fingers crossed,
