I could send a nice commemorative mug, for his tea.

If you think he would appreciate it

Odd carriage; the drivers are on the port side horses instead of driving from the front of the carriage. What is REALLY odd is that they are on the PORT SIDE horses. Don't all y'all over there drive from the STARBOARD SIDE? Weird.
Because horses are mounted from the left.
With a pair that is the lefthand horse, maybe.

Of all the royals, I have immense respect for Harry.....he's a warrior and the work he has done with and for wounded warriors is deserving of respect....I wish him and his new bride every happiness....

Yes, he wore the shoes and did the dancing.

Twice in fact, forward air controller in Helmand, then came back in a Apache attack helicopter, co-pilot gunner.

Prince William, being too close in-line to the big seat, was not allowed.

    So he went helicopter pilot.

RAF Search and Rescue Force, then the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

(his full salary being donated  to the Air Ambulance charity.)

I know a man, who knows a man, who knows a few men, who have deployed.

They are not talked about (a good sign) but it comes back they are both good blokes.

Did you read the article or did the big words in the headline stump you.

“Harry was born on September 15, 1984, which means he was conceived around Christmas 1983, when his brother, William, was 18 months old.

“Diana did not meet James Hewitt until the summer of 1986.

“The red hair that gossips so love to cite as ‘proof’ is, of course, a Spencer trait, as anyone who has ever seen a photograph of Diana’s sister, Jane, for example, as a young woman will be able to testify."

Well I do know Charles missed the reception. He had to leave early because Camilla had a relative running in the Preakness and they had to make the race.

Wife had a replay of it on, so I watched part of it. Camilla gets the award for the most hideous hat - although it was head and shoulders above what we were treated to the last time around.

I'd like to try an outfit like the bride's with a train like that sometime - she was all over the front end of that church and the end of the train never moved!

Really enjoyed the black chorus - but I don't think the Brits knew what to make of it!

There's Sigfried and Roy, Rock Hudson, and Jim Nabors paddling a canoe to a live Elton John seranade while flying a rainbow flag.

    Then there's this thread.
    Meh.

Jayhawker is asking for advice from Zorba on another thread about concealed carry with a kilt, a garter was suggested, there was a time that making fun of Zee's hat was about the limit to the fashion sense around here.

A lot of fasinators on parade but I think Clooney's wife won the Christmas Goose.

Collecting those mugs and other memorabilia might actually make sense. In time they'll probably be worth more than their selling price, especially, on Ebay!

I don't do 'pageantry,' personally. Too many of the marriages that I have attended were dissolved before the ceremony was even paid off.

........................ before the ceremony was even paid off.

Some of the true costing is starting to emerge.

............total cost for this wedding is estimated (from the FOA requests) to be around £32 million. Some £10 million of that is from the taxpayers for security etc and the rest being paid by Royal family.

.............some commentators  reckoned the UK fashion industry will benefit by around £150 million alone.........

The extra revenue from visitors has been estimated to bring in well over a quarter of a billion pounds

And of course not forgetting, free world wide coverage for Tourist UK, which will also bring in a few bob.
