Skin the ground a couple places and use 2 of the many pop-up canopies with tarps on the sides (maybe only right side) and back. Then you have 2 semi-auto "shooting houses". Doesn't seem all that freaking hard to be arguing about it....GEEZ
Another stellar idea. It’s not hot enough as is. We need to block the breeze all
    we can. . 👍

Or, of course, we could spread a tarp....on the ground.
Oh my lord! You would argue with a fence post.
When the fence post has a dumbass idea, you are correct.

Your proving to be the fence post. Have fun trying to walk on and tripping over 1000 sq. ft of tarp. Hope it doesn't rain. My idea you don't even need tarp on the ground. No need to worry about rain either. Your the smartest man on the planet though and have a need to make others idea's feel inferior to yours. You do you buddy!
I gotta agree with CPJ. Judging by the number of canopys  that were on the firing line, I would say that it's about 75' to 85' wide and as I mentioned previously, I picked up some .223 brass on Sunday morning when I went up the hill for my targets and I noticed that the greater majority of the brass was in about a 6' to 8' wide swath. I also noted that much of the brass was stomped into the ground from all of the foot traffic. One of my hay tarps cut in half would cover the width of the firing line to a depth of 12' and I would be happy to donate it. With almost the entire firing line covered with tables, benches, canopys, and chairs, I think there is no problem with holding a tarp down and for all of the experts that have never been there, the range is sloped enough so that water is not going to pool much if it rains. My tarps are also pretty oxidized and kinda rough in texture so they are not as slippery as a new one.

For my point of view, cpj is a lot like me
