Did she not get unsettled once before but came back?
  • shushshush Posts: 6,259 Senior Member
But why have all her posts deleted?
If you don’t want to be here, just stop posting.

    Yeah, what BigChief said.

Being your daughter, YOU know her better than the rest of us
Well, when she lived under my roof I knew everything about her. Unfortunately as kids grow up they move out and forget their mothers and fathers exist. I had lunch with her yesterday, and I can tell you she is physically ok, but my father senses tell me she really isn't. I can read that kid like a book, but I just don't know whats going on. What I do know is that she is very stressed out with my situation, with work and other private issues I wont mention because honestly it isn't my place.

That's too bad.  Axe, tell her we'll be glad to have her back if she decides that's what she wants.

A great many dramas seemed to occur, in the short time she was here.

One could just look back on her old posts and see................but no?

That is the problem with the internet........we know of people on here but don't really know the person. In some cases that is a good thing . I haven't been on here long but liked her posts & hope she is well & gets things sorted out.

    Except for Zorba.

There are a few personal reasons that someone would remove all traces of social media presence.  None of them are fun.  Wish her the best.

My significant other Debbie, just retired last year after 37 years of teaching and her stress and anxiety levels always went through the roof at the end of the school year. With SigGal's first year of teaching, she may be experiencing something similar.

Sometimes TMI can come back and bite you in the arse on social media.

Anything from embarrassment to actual harm and can and will be used against you for whatever purpose.

I prefer to stay semi-anonymous..............not giving my real name, location and email address to but a few trusted forum members.

This thread/tape will self destruct .......................in 5 seconds

Maybe the NJ liberals figured out she was a gun owner and didn't like it.

    Yes but who are they.
Anybody can fake a big belly and you once told me you were an old-aged hick.
Beware, the truth will find you out.

You just do not know who you are dealing with, that is the thing.

This may be much closer to the truth than you realize.  My wife has been a teacher for over 25 years.  She has a virtually non-existent social media presence because it puts her at risk from any student/parent/staff/administration member with a chip on their shoulder.  She is even extremely careful what she says in a personal email or text message for fear someone could get a hold of it and twist it out of context.  Anytime a teacher gets accused of anything they have a tendency to get railroaded regardless of the facts.  And we live in a mostly free state.  I would imagine being a teacher in a socialist state like NJ the risk would be much higher.

It is impossible to amend your posts (after 4 hours that is) with the new forum layout.

Cast in stone they be, saving deletion (all).

I reconnected with a friend from school several years ago.  He ended up being a teacher, and he told me his district made it an HR violation to have a personal Facebook page.  Seems too many teachers were getting in trouble with personal pages.

I do think that is an HR overreach - BUT - I sure can agree with the sentiment!
