Question about PM's

The old forum had a feature that would allow you to receive notification through your email address if someone sent you a PM. Now that feature does not appear to exist. I'm wondering why not, and if it does exist how do you prompt it to work? I'm trying to reach one of our members with an important (to me) question about guns and there has been no answer so far.
