Parker Hale Mauser!

So I was minding my own business while at my LGS and the manager said “make you a deal.” Ok what and how much? He said “that Mauser for $150.” Done, put it in the back room. Then I had to find out what there was to be known about a Parker Hale Safari 30-06 Mauser with a detachable box mag. The bore cleaned up to a nice mirror bright! They seem to be a quality rig. Hell, you can’t buy a used 1022 for $150! The only small issue is the bolt stop/release spring is broken. It is in 2 peices. I managed to put the internal leg of the spring into the grove and get it to work. I also put the outer spring in place so it keeps the release on the receiver. I may have to change it. I’m also thinking about a receiver sight and not scoping this rifle. I have plenty of other scopes rifles I like the way this one feels without a scope. Thoughts?

Aim higher, or get a bigger gun.

I'd rather have my sister work in a whorehouse than own another Taurus!
Shush, this rifle is begging to go stalking!
I'd be scoping though.....with an old classic one
Cheeky blighters!
BTW Great find
its on a custom Mauser 22-250 possible built before Remington made it a legit cartridge. A cool gun it it’s own right. Not in the cards right now though.......THANKS
YOU SUCK!
You learned well, Grasshopper!
Seriously, that is one HUGE bargain on a very nice rifle. The bolt stop is an inexpensive part that can be bought from Numrich Gun Parts; shipping will be more than what the part costs.
