.32 Bisley!

Elk creekElk creek Senior MemberPosts: 6,463 Senior Member
After a little horse  trading I found a little grail gun. This one has a 6 1/2 barrel. Oh this oozes cool! I will have to wait a few days to shoot it. I have to spend a few days in Wyoming for family stuff. When I get back this little chap and I have a range date!

    It looks unfired!!!❗❗❗

Wouldn't have been cool if they chambered it in the Bearcat?

It is unfired. The mark on the cylinder I put there. I am the only person to touch that gun after it left the factory. It came in and was sitting on the receivers desk at my LGS when I saw it. I looked at the label as I do all Ruger’s. 😉I told him the SN and said no need to print a shelf tag, I’m taking this one.  The rest is history as they say.

Should be a sweet shooter! .32's are fun! Can you get a .32-20 cyl. for it?? I've seen that combo before.

On the full Blackhawk frame you can get a convertible.  The 32-20 is too long for single six frame. It would be a heavy gun in a Blackhawk.

What loads are you using Sako? My birds head shoots anything I put through it well. It really likes the 100gr XTP’s. I have 1k 115gr rnfp’s for a 32wcf that I use 3.5gr of unique but am thinking ok using Lil’gun in the neighborhood of 9.5 grains..... but IDK.

The forums professional treasure finder (weatherby) found that and passed it along to me. They make a very nice set.

Lovely gun in a great caliber.  I like a .32...although I've never shot one in a Mag.  For those of you who have, how's the recoil?  I would imagine it's a sweetheart to shoot.

That should be a great shooter.

Try some Fiocchi .32 S&W long wadcutters in it------should make you the local bullseye champion.

Recoil is like a mild 38 special.... very mild. They are a real pleasure to shoot.

Very sweet acquisition in a chambering that I am still wanting for.  You suck!

Very nice! Don't like a lot the looks of Bisley grip but it's for sure more comfortable than the "standard" (Hogleg?) design.
My local shooting buddies who are SA fans would have their heads spinning for this one! They sure love that grip style.

I'd build a matching caliber lever action rifle as a companion for that revolver; probably rebarreling an Uberti '73 or '92 clone....not a cheap gunsmith job but surely a cool set to plink and hunt with.

    Plow handle.
First debuted on the Colt 1851 Navy cap&ball. Carried over to the Colt 1873 strap model. Then copied more or less by Ruger.
