Take a trip with me in 1913, to Calumet, Michigan, in the copper country. I will take you to a place called Italian Hall, where the miners are having their big Christmas ball.
Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young... about Kent State in 1970...
Good ole' Sid and Johnny...
I'm 72 and still enjoy the music from the late 60's to the 80's. The only stuff I never liked was the "screechy" music you could barely understand the words to, which was the reason I didn't like Led Zepplin that much, with the exception of Stairway to Heaven and Gallows Pole. I do like Robert Plant as a single artist now.
There's only a few tunes by AC/DC that I like, such as "Thunderstruck," "It's a Long Way to the Top, and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap."
You older people may think this is a bunch of noise. To me, it is brilliant musically. The crap they pull with time signatures in this song alone is nuts. Another System of a Down song. Me and mama went to see these guys a couple of years ago. It was an outdoor concert venue and the smell of skunk bud was sickening. The fans were probably 10 to 20 years younger than us on average and the little turds holding up their cell phones to video the band playing our favorite songs got annoying very fast. So much that we actually had a coordinated game plan to kick some punk ass if it came down to it. The band was AWESOME!!! In the middle of the show, some kid managed to get up on stage and dove into the mosh pit real quick. Security found him and was escorting him out of the venue when the guitar player, Daron Malakian, stopped the show and insisted that they release the kid. After about a minute, they did and they went on with the show. I will gladly go see them again (in spite of the punk ass fans) if they come back to Detroit again. They were totally badass. So. BYOB...Awesome band. I have some video somewhere of my daughter singing BYOB when she was about 3-4.
