We running 37's. Still not enough with the mini van engine in it.
Then you need more HPs. I am pretty sure there is a strap on blower kit available for that engine. Boost makes everything better.

5-anything is wonderful for towing - but I can't see it giving you good mileage. The '63 GMC 1 ton pickup I grew up with had a 5.14 - a real stump puller in combination with the SM420 transmission.
That Jeep is probably running 38”+ tires. A gear set that deep won’t be completely terrible on tires that tall.
    Ah! That does change things.

Therein lies your problem.  A small engine working too hard will drink more gas than a large engine that is not working hard at all.  Drop a 5.7L Hemi in it.  grin smiley
A company I used to work for bought some standard length service vans with V6 engines and then later bought some extended length service vans with mid-size V8 engines (same mfg.)
The larger vans with the larger engines carried more, had more power and got better gas mileage than the smaller vans with the V6.

Now THAT is the 1st thing in this thread that makes sense. 95% of SUV owners would be far better off with a minivan.

95% of all statistics are a result of anal extraction.

Those stations wagons remind me of National Lampoon's "Vacation".  The Chevy Chase thought he had bought something like the ones you posted, but got  a tank instead.  It is a funny move.

If you're getting more than six miles a gallon, you're not rolling fat enough!

Two of my friends have Rogues.  They're good autos and I've ridden in one for six hours.  A little noisy because of the canoe rack (I guess) but the only thing I can object to is the limited cockpit space.  In the passenger seat, I couldn't cross my legs.  I had a Kia Optima, which had more HP, more space and got almost 40 MPG on the highway and I guess my preferences are in that direction.
Concealed carry is for protection, open carry is for attention.

This is sorta like my moms ride back when I was a sophomore and junior in high school. Other than being baby blue it was a pimp mobil.  :D This thing was like a motel on wheels.

I’d prefer a full size though.  I’ve got an extended length 3/4 ton I drive for work, and I think it would make a dandy man rig. Make a great camping platform.
With a Quigley 4x4 conversion it would make a great go-anywhere camping platform.

The rogues have great gas mileage but after that QC just goes to the crapper.  You could get a Hemi or Cummins both bullet proof but the trannys and rear ends are made of cardboard.  The best advice in all seriousness, don't buy new.  Buy used at about 3 years old.  Yugos are nice.

Is it true that the local bus schedule is provided with every new Yugo?

I had a Yugo back in the day. Nice driving, handling car. The only thing I can knock it for is the cheap plastic door and window handles had to be replaced with their (metal) Fiat equivalents.  After that, never had a problem with it.

Yugo is the grandfather of Subaru.  Number one rule of yugo, always buy two.  One to drive and one for parts.  There is a video on YouTube of a Yugo GV (great value) talking about the history and it's hilarious.  A guy bought the car in the video for a grand and another for $200 and a .22lr for a non running parts car.  If you go you have to watch the video about the travant.  A Soviet made, 2 stoke, 26hp, car produced up until the 80's.  It's hilarious!

It came down between a Rouge and a Chrysler mini van. Local dealer found them a mini van like they wanted. It will be delivered Saturday so I guess they will be driving another mini van for years to come.

Nothing wrong with a mini van if that's what you like.  My wife has owned three.
See what I did there?  I would have to turn in my Man card if I admitted "we" owned them.  :D

When my wife and I married I suggested I was going to buy her a mini-van.  That was the LAST time we had that conversation...  :D
Tried to get mine to get one one time. Thought she was going to leave me for suggesting it.😂

We were just at the Audi dealer last week to get service on my wifes car. She wants to get another Audi in 2 years. For that amount of $$$ I told her she should get a Tahoe.

The Tahoe's I have rented on business trips had a major influence on my decision to buy a Suburban when needing a tow vehicle for the camper.  The Tahoe's and Suburbans are by far the most comfortable vehicles I have ever driven.  I rented a Ford Expedition last year in El Paso.  Even though it was newer than my Suburban it came up short in the comfort department in my opinion.

My wife liked "her" mini vans but now she drives an AWD GMC Acadia.  Since I generally refused to drive the mini vans she wanted to have something that I would be willing to drive on occasion when we were in her vehicle but she didn't want to drive.  I still make her drive if we are in her Acadia.  :D  If I know she wants me to drive we take the Suburban.

My Suburban is a 2010 which was the first year for the 6 speed transmission.  At 80 mph the engine is only turning over at 1,800 rpm.  If I keep the speed down around 65 mph it gets about 21 mpg on the highway.  It is a bit thirstier around town.

I could go for a Honda Odyssey.  They are one of the safest cars on the road and certain models have built in vacuums!  The big problems though with mini vans is the mileage, not impressive at all.  I think the Odyssey has enough room, with the seats out to haul a few panels of plywood.  I was able to haul a 8ft and 6ft laminate kitchen counter top in my wife's Equinox.  Its ugly on the front but its been very reliable and excellent gas mileage.

We have owned a Tahoe and an Expedition. Both are up at the top of my best liked vehicles. If they weren't so dang high I would probably get a new Expedition. From what I'm reading the tow rating is a lot higher than the Tahoe.
