The difference a little rain can make
Here in north central Texas we haven’t had any significant rain since last March. Last Friday with a 0% chance of rain on the Weather Station app a violent storm blew through and dropped almost 2.5” of rain in just under an hour. In town seven mikes away they got nothing!
My tank was down almost 3.5’ and losing water every day in the 100+ degree temps. I have a 3/4 mike runoff ditch/canal that feeds the pond. Went down the next day and it was over the banks and about 6” shy of its all time high which really flooded the area around the tank. Got to say the fish are happy happy happy!
Some before and after the rain shots

Distance is not an issue, but the wind can make it interesting!

That rain changed a mud hole back to a pond. Looks nice now.
