Went shooting last week.

First time in over a year. Took 2 ARs, 2 1911s, and a Colt Woodsman Match Target.

Started off zeeoing the ARs at 50 yds. My newest one, which I built, sports a Weaver 2-7x Kaspa. At 50 yds. aiming at the corners I managed these groups.

Pretty happy. So I went to 100 yds. I used my new Tackdriver front bag and Protektor rear.

Shot these groups. Not as happy as I was with the 50 yd. groups, but I had shot some not for record, and may have been tired.

7 yds. with the 1911..

Lower right group was shot when I remembered to put mt thumb ON TOP OF the safety lever. Extreme lower left group was done to confirm I was right.

Verdict: my skills have diminished, but are salvageable.
Overkill is underrated.

Interesting targets. I like diamonds the best, but havent took any time to make any for quite awhile.

    Good shooting!

Good shootin, especially since it's been a year since you hit the range.

What ammo were you firing in the AR?

What kinda butt stock is that?

I never seem to get the front and rear exactly where I want them with rests, always a compromise. I bought a low and high rear rest and one too high and one too low........should have bough a medium one.

Maybe the benches I fire off of and the heights of them and the stools on the range and how I sit.

A year is a long time to not shoot so fatigue and mussel memory do take a toll.
Definitely salvageable a  bit more shooting and fine tuning is all you need.

    Thanks gents.
The targets are some free ones I got online.
Ammo was handloads: 55 gr. Hornady JSP flat base over TAC in mixed (brands and number of firings) cases.
Stock is a Luth Skullaton fixed stock. Better photo here.

Glad you got out. Been too long.

Shooting is assuredly a perishable skill.

    Good looking gun.

    Excellent!

Not bad after such a long break.
I thought about that stock before getting an A-2.  How do you like it?

I really like it. LOP is good, and with a lighter barrel it balances well.

Well done.  Don't wait another year before you go again.
