Acosta laid hands on that female White House aide. Lucky that the Secret Service didn't take him down and cuff his scruffy butt, or bust a cap in his noggin. That kind of belligerence doesn't fly in the presence of the President.

Actually, watching the Secret Service guys dog pile that guy and drag his kicking and screaming ass out of the room would have been priceless...or maybe a TASER...does the Secret Service carry those?

Wife told me about what happened at the press conference - good riddance.

Way overblown. The guy was a dick, but he’s a reporter. Goes with the job. I’d hardly call it a real incident. The real issue is Cheeto Jesus doesn’t like being questioned.
Well, he stood there for 90 minutes...answering questions.

Acosta is the poster-boy for left-wing anarchist 'reporters.' Presidents should have the guts to take tough questions, but an objective journalist does not accuse and debate - they just ask questions from a neutral point of view.

You wouldn't lower yourself to debating a sniveling punk who was showing off for other sniveling punks, and the President shouldn't have to, either.

He should have been kicked out for general rudeness, a long time ago. It is a privilege to be in the White House press pool. They don't have to put up with an ass if they don't want to.

Anyway, after watching the video again all the reporter did was pull the microphone away. Hardly what they are making it out to be.
Nope....he laid hands on an aide trying to keep control of the microphone...he was out of line but then Acosta thinks he's special...

Did you actually watch the video?
Which one? The doctored one from InfoWars, or the real one?

As usual, Trump made childish remarks and insults but he should never have allowed the behavior at press conferences to escalate to where it stands now. Everyone is usually allowed two questions and then it's someone elses turn. When someone like Acosta refuses to relenquish the mic and continues to ask questions out of turn, he should have been warned long ago to follow protocol or be removed from the press pool.

I watched the press conference live as it happened. The aide/White House Intern tried to take the microphone and he pulled it back and arm barred her. That is enough right there to take him behind the White House for a come to Jesus talk. Acosta has the manners of an ill tempered hog at a slop trough. To say that I wouldn't wipe my butt with his suede tanned hide would be an extreme understatement.

Acosta's actions were very rude and disrespectful of the office-- no matter who is in office, and are shameful to the profession of journalism. He really shouldn't be welcomed into the White House on principle alone-- this crap is getting silly. At the same time, from the video I have seen, I do not see where he got too far out of line with that intern.

The guy is a pig by all accounts - and apparently was one of the sycophants of the "slobbering love affair" with Obama.

I'm fairly certain you don't know what that means...

I'm fairly certain that you don't have a clue that there is more than one way to apply an arm bar. We aren't talking wrestling here, sugar doodles. We're talking a defensive/offensive maneuver used to fend off someone in front of you. Generally used to get the person in front of you off you so you can clock them with the fist on the other arm. You should get out more.

I also watched happen live on TV.  My first thought was that two or three Secret Service Agents would be escorting him out in handcuffs.  He has always been rude.  Has escalated to being rude, disrespectful to the office of President of the United States and not overstepped the line of being abusive.

That left-wing scumbag deserved a little manhandling himself. He blocked her arm while she was trying to reach for the mic. Maybe they need some muscle for the press room when one of these bag o' turds gets rowdy.

I saw a 'snip' of the video.

Couldn't tell what happened. The POTUS is the President. Get out of line lose your pass.

Don't like the President? Grow a brain and editorialize him down the toilet. Not like he's not handing out his own ass daily.

Currently there seems to be 3 different videos floating around.  Find the original if it is still out there and decide.  The one I just saw on yahoo news was a watered down version of his actions.

    Look at it this way:

Remember the turds in school, or cub scouts, or a sports team, or anything where kids get to do fun stuff, that always screwed it up for everybody by misbehaving, or immature behavior, or basically just taking advantage of the adult in charge's good nature? All they had to do was just not antagonize him/her, and he/she exhibited good natured tendencies toward everyone. But there was always one who had to show everybody how 'studly' he was, and ended up getting everybody sanctioned.

I like your interpretation Bisley. No matter they're working-and-suit-wearing "adults", that seems to me like the attitudes displayed here.

Acosta was an ass, but that's nothing new.  A significant portion of the base wants nothing more than for Trump to rub people's noses in whatever messes he cares to, so THAT won't be changing anytime soon...

I'm in the weird position of longing for the "good old days" where I could bitch about Obama's elitist smarm, but feel justified in doing so, instead of wishing the guy on "my" side would just learn to keep his **** mouth shut.

I'm sure he does use a phone. I don't hang out with him at 2AM. He could be using a Commodore 64 for all I know.
