Do you believe/have you ever seen...

SergioSergio New MemberPosts: 12 New Member
I'm not sure there hasn’t been a thread about this here... but whenever this subject comes up in a discussion forum, the stories are invariably quite interesting.

So, have you ever seen anything that you believe was supernatural, spiritual or even alien?

Something that was definitely out of the ordinary?

I have spent a bit of time alone in remote places. Never once in all my life have I encountered anything beyond reasonable explanation.

I once dropped a piece of buttered bread on the floor and it landed with the butter side up.
Non of my friends or relatives believed me. I eventually went to a very spiritual person who investigated this miracle.........................after an exhaustive investigation,  she said it was solely due to the fact that I had buttered the wrong side........

My first home that I owned had weird occurrences that had no explanation whatsoever. One time during the summer when my dogs were outside I was sitting on the couch where I could see the kitchen door that led outside (where the dogs were). The door was opened with only the screen door shut and I actively watched the large door close and open again. I got up to look out there but only the dogs were in the fenced in yard, one which was my gigantic Rottweiler that I had at the time.
    2. Same house. My daughter was about 3 or so and told me that she talked to a guy in the kitchen and even named him (can’t recall the name). She described him very well for a kid of her age including his pants, shoes, color and that he was shirtless and “had a scary forehead”. When I asked what she meant about his forehead, she scrunched her face up like you would if you were making a scary frown face. She said that he had scared her but didn’t run because he didn’t chase her.
    3. Same house. Awoke one night to the sounds of heavy footsteps in our small attic above us that were so loud that our Rottweiler also awoke and started growling while staring at the ceiling. The footsteps finally stopped cold after a minute or so but shortly after a musical book that was my daughters started playing music right in the middle of the living room floor with the switch clearly in the off position. Took the batteries out and went back to bed all freaked out. That house always had an eerie feel to it like you were constantly being watched. As for the attic event, there was zero areas of opportunity for a critter of any kind to make its way in there.

One thing I've found out from having prolonged periods of interrupted sleep and remembering dreams as a result is this. Our brains remember every single visual image we've ever seen. Not supernatural I know, but we have incredibly powerful brains.

Nothing that I can claim as supernatural, but I have had experiences where I have felt someone or something was looking out for me. Maybe it was dumb luck, but I don't have a clue either way. I am grateful for it.

Karma? I believe in that. Not in a metaphysical way, but I do feel that if you are a miserable lowlife turd, your actions will generate a negative karma. The same goes by trying to be a decent person. So far, I have been blessed.

When I was 10 or so I was at a church camp. It was cold out, so it was winter time. I was in the top bunk looking out a window at the night sky. I saw a bright meteor streak across the sky. Normal............. except it changed direction. It made a hook at the end like a J...

I was maybe 13 and stopped at a neighbors house on the way back from fishing. We saw a blinking light rising into the sky. After 20-30 seconds of this, it took off straight up. I mean so fast it was a blurred streak. Like warp speed speed....

When I got out of the Army I was staying at my parents. I was out on the porch smoking. It was snowing big huge snow flakes. I had my Carhartts on and was enjoying listening to the hiss of the snowflakes hitting the ground. Then above the hill behind the house were two lights shining down like search lights. They were big and had to be close. They were moving slowly north. Could have been a chopper or even the Goodyear blimp ( we saw the blimp on occasion as it headed back to its hanger in Akron OH). The strange thing was...... there was zero sound. Zero.... Couldn't have been even 1/4 mile away and not a sound.

supernatural, spiritual or even alien? ...

About alien, I saw once a UFO, a green light that left a irregular trail in the sky that lasted a few seconds (I was not the only one who saw it .It was front page news in the morning.

    Supernatural?  Yes.
There was "something" in my old  neighborhood (it was a battlefield 139 years ago). Even my dog was ocassionally scared.

Just to mention one case: one afternoon (about 4pm), I was walking my dog when ,suddendly , he stop cold in his tracks and stared at the empty street. Seconds later he was dragging me back home, with his tail between his legs. He didn't stop until he was inside the family room, with his back against the wall, and staring at the door, as if he feared the devil itself was coming after him.

I tell you, there was nothing on that street, neither human or beast...

No, and don't believe in those things, but consider highly probable the possibility of extraterrestrial intelligent life forms.

In the other hand my wife is pretty much like the boy of the "Sixth sense" movie, and being a good husband, I believe her that she thinks she sees "things"  ;).

I think that most, if not all cases of what we call ghosts are some kind of natural phenomenom, maybe related to quantum phisics. Under the " right conditions" the brain Is capable of percive something that happened even hundreds of years ago

Meanwhile, I called that ghosts, until we have a better name to call it

I think aliens exist. However, if you look at the scale of distances between stars and the fact there are 250 billion stars just in our galaxy. 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe. Even with FTL travel, what are the odds of anyone finding us out here in a random arm of the Milky Way?

Who really knows what exists out there. Even if we find a habitable planet, it would take centuries to travel there.

There could be dark matter, radiation, and gravity wells that couldn't be mapped from here.....

I watched an interesting documentary about the US and Russian governments both acknowledging that during the Cold War there were multiple times that UFO’s actively interfered with the launch and testing of nuclear missiles. Another good documentary about the Roswell crash also tells the truth. Weather balloon my ass.

Here's my story, which isn't outside the realms of ordinary possibility. First, since my wife died in 95, I haven't dated anyone and keep her wedding ring on an O ring key chain.  Very secure. As I was walking out of the court house, fooling with my keys, the ring came off and rolled down the parking lot.  It hasn't ever done that, and you know the security of such a key ring.  Made an impression on me.

Second, after my third open heart surgery, about 13 years ago, after I'd recovered a bit I decided to walk and chose a route that was about 2 miles.  As I left my house, a beagle came with me as if I was walking it.  It followed me the entire route, across the street some of the time, never getting real close to me, but never far away. When we got back to the place he joined me, he left.  I have not seen the dog since.

That made an impression on me, too, as it's never happened before or since.  Pretty "ordinary" I think.  But at the time I felt escorted.

In 1984, I and my wife were on vacation in the UP Michigan. All the way up there on the plane I felt worried about my mother, who was 79 and not in the best of health, but still getting around.  The next morning, I was uneasy and felt compelled to call her.  She didn't answer, so I called my sister.  My mom had a stroke and was on the floor of the bedroom.

Finally, and perhaps the most strange, one night a few years ago, I called my wife's best friend, on an impulse.  When her husband answered I told him who I was, he sounded amazed.  Lynn got on the phone and said they'd just been talking about me, with whom my last contact was 20 years ago.  I thought it strange.

My wife's family think I've got ESP.  I don't think so, but any ability to know the future is not my ability.  If it were, I'd be rich on the stock market.

I'm not sure...but sure as hell my old Springer Spaniel did...one night we were watching TV and my dog was in his usual spot by my chair. At one point he got up and started looking at the back door, he started growling, then his hackles stood up and he bared his teeth and started watching "something" move from the back door to the front door. Then he returned to his spot by my chair and laid back down...

It dawned on me today that I forgot about another one. My dad died around 2012 and my brother had moved into a multi family building so he could fix it up and rent out the other apartments. He used to say that every now and then he would smell the cologne that dad used to where at random times and in random parts of his building. He was the only person living there for about the first year since he was slowly rehabbing the place and asked me if I could come over and help him move an oven, fridge and other stuff. We had been in and out of there multiple times while moving his things and were finally moving the oven (pain in the ass) up the steps. When we got to the top of the steps, out of nowhere and like my dad had just walked by us, you could distinctly smell his cologne just like my brother had reported happens. My brother knew by the look on my face and just said “told ya”.

Seen a couple of “things”, including one that could be considered a full body, broad daylight apparition.

My my brother and I were on a raised “deck” (almost like a fire tower) in his back yard, having a couple of beers and watching the sunset.  I looked over at the neighbors house, and saw an elderly man step out on the back porch and survey “his” back yard.  I waved, and my brother looked over and said “what the .....”.

He saw the old man as well, looked at me and said that the house was supposed to be empty.  When we looked back, the porch was empty.

I knew the neighbor had passed away a year or so before, and his wife was now in a nursing home.  I just assumed this was a new renter, since my brother is a realtor and was getting the house ready to rent out.

Needless to say, we went straight over and checked the house.  All doors locked, windows secure, no one inside, no cars around.

that is the hardest to explain.

Oh, I was also “tapped” on the back of the thigh in a birthing compartment while on an overnight Cub Scout camping trip aboard the USS Lexington (CV-16).

    That definitely sounds unnatural!

Yes On a dark clear night while camping in an open field, saw things moving as far as the eye could see up in the milky way. I believe to this day something is out there somewhere.
