Distracting Fog at bottom of web articles - can it be done away with?

I find the artistic fog effect at the bottom edge of every article on the web site to be a distraction.  I know, it's very "in" and "artsy" - but can it be done away with?  is there a setting I can use to eliminate it on my screen?

You mean the add at the bottom of the page?
Your supposed to click on them and go to that page-------that funds the forum.

    Welcome!

The ads pays da bills, if that is what you're referencing. And if you haven't perused the Firearms News Store, you're missing out on some good deals on reference materials and plans for making firearms accessories and modifying firearms.
