That may look cool from Peru, but I work in Detroit every day. Murders? I haven't tracked that. I am sure there are plenty. The city is a poophole. Gun laws? I can open carry my 44 mag anywhere in the city. I can carry it concealed anywhere in the city. Heck, I can carry my AR pistol either open carry or concealed carry anywhere in the city. I can walk around with my loaded AR carbine anywhere in the city of Detroit. The previous police chief encouraged residents to arm themselves and use those arms as needed. "Stand your Ground" and Castle doctrine also applies in Detroit. How does all that freedom work in your own country?
I appreciate you looking out for us Americans, but if you do it, please make it factual. There are too many lies circulating already and it hurts our cause. As firearm owners, we don't need to be making ourselves out to be liars.
Reason obeys itself; and ignorance submits to whatever is dictated to it.
I live just outside Detroit and have worked in Detroit for the last year and a half (this go around as I have worked in the city on past projects as well). Its not as bad as its made out to be, and the laws are no more strict than the remainder of the state. I debated carrying to and from work, but the customer has a strict no "weapons" policy that if violated is cause for a complete ban from all facilities globally (they are one of the biggest customers in the area for the line of work I am in). I refuse to leave a firearm in my car since that would still be a violation and the number of vehicles that have been broken into (steering column theft mostly) is enough to present the risk of theft.
