As a mid 30s person, I know the pain of the poster folks.  I deal with it all too often at work with the apprentices we get.  Then again, I was raised different than most of the apprentices that fit the memes so well.

What I find amusing, is similar comments were made about Gen-X in the mid-80's.  I remember snide comments from Boomers about how MTV would destroy the fabric of America. The generational BS has went on forever.

    Not all Boomers were hippies.
Not all Gen-Xers wasted their lives watching MTV
Not all Millennials are wimpy little ****
We'll wait and see what happens with Gen Z, but I'm guessing they'll mature just like every generation prior.

On top of it, what's called "Boomers" are way bigger than any of the succeeding labels - almost 20 years. Some better write-ups on the subject rightly divide Boomers into two separate "cohorts", the first and second (or early/late). I'm a 2nd cohort Boomer, and we had very little in common with the 1st (My sister is a 1st). OTOH, 2nd cohort Boomers of my acquaintance are, and were, fuddy duddies of the greatest sort!

That's because they have served their intended purpose and are no longer useful......

I guess this is vaguely political, so I'll leave this here:

I've heard the story of Irena Sendler before. It was a much longer story about her, though. Given the conditions she worked under, she was one very courageous woman.
