It's kind of ironic that the party that has attacked the anti-communist 'witch-hunts' of the distant past so vigorously has now passed them, on the 'absurdity scale.'

Of course you could find that same absurdity on almost any other political issue, if  you could keep the public focused for long enough to examine each issue, beyond the sound bites and talking points..

With any luck she'll try to out Hillary Clinton and end up as another skeleton in Bill's and Hillary's closet of victims. Anyway, the more enemies she makes in the House, the more irrelevant she will become.

Just another squealing, greedy pig, shouldering the other swine out of the way at the public trough!  Check out where she's chosen to live- - - -a fancy, restricted access apartment building with lots of amenities available, and NO "affordable housing" for low income residents.  What a hypocrite!

How DARE those flyover state representatives represent the wishes of the constituents who elected them to office!  The NERVE!  :smirk:

Seems like that party is due for either a Night of the Long Knives or an Ides of March.  I'll have my Whirly Pop standing by.

I say, let Cow Fart Cortez do what she wants. She will single-handedly give the Repubs (not that it makes much difference) back the House.

That book should be required reading in HS, and a requirement for graduation

AOC is a post turtle. If you've never heard the joke, here it is, and it seems to apply to her remarkably well.

    The Post Turtle Story

I first read this story way back then.

“While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old Texas rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.

Eventually the topic got around to politics and then they discussed some new guy who was far too big for his shoes as a politician.

The old rancher said, ‘Well, ya know, he is a post turtle’. Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a ‘post turtle’ was.

The old rancher said, ‘When you’re driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that’s a ‘post turtle’.

The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor’s face, so he continued to explain. ‘You know he didn’t get up there by himself, he doesn’t belong up there, he doesn’t know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb ass put him up there in the first place.’ “

Having that low-intellect, bug-eyed, mouth-based wood chipper as the boss of anything is truly a scary proposition.

Does anybody else remember the book from a few decades ago called "The Peter Principle"?  Basically, it espouses the theory that everyone is exactly one step of employment above their "level of incompetence".  If someone does a good job, he/she gets a promotion.  If they're good at that job, another promotion comes along.  This continues until they reach a level where they can't perform well, and they stagnate there.  Rather than demote the employee back to a job they're good at and embarrass them in the process, management just leaves them there- - - -doing a less-than competent job.  Sometimes a career change is necessary to reach the level of incompetence- - - -in this case a possibly good bartender/waitress is totally incompetent as a congress-critter.  Maybe in a couple of years, the voters in her district will figure that out, but more likely, she will figure out how to ride the government gravy train without derailing it, and we'll be stuck with her for another 30 years or more!

I read somewhere that only 18% of the electorate turned out to vote in her district. Seems she got the majority of the socialist vote and won the seat. Good example of sitting home rather than getting out and voting, and getting the village idiot elected to high public office.

I disagree that stupidity will bar a stupid person from being reelected over and over again. Exhibit one..........
