Democrats introduce bill for background checks on ammo purchases

Just when you thought the Democratic Socialists couldn't get any more socialist, they did it. A bill has been introduced in Congress by Debbie 'Waterhead' Schultz that will require a background check for ammo purchases a la California. Add more cost to ammo purchases and do nothing to curb crime. Freakin' Democrat Socialists are going full blown Communist.
Article describing the bill:
The bill: (Text of bill not available yet. Check on it tomorrow to see if it has been published in Congress)

Why is everything about guns described as a "loophole"? Gun shows, private sales, ammo, bullet-buttons (CA), etc?

What they call a loophole, I call "compliance with the law".

And my tolerance for this crap is wearing thin.

When our governing officials dismiss due process as mere semantics, when they exercise powers they don’t have and ignore duties they actually bear, and when we let them get away with it, we have ceased to be our own rulers.

Sometimes I think it’s getting time to form the militias and take this country back.

Hell. . .we don't even have it fully in effect in CA yet.  Our DOJ is still trying to figure out how to implement it - so don't plan on them being able to show the feds how.

I've said it plenty elsewhere - there is a potential benefit to these idiots going full-on leftist whackadoodle nut job:  people can more easily see their stripes.

They are presently going down roads that should come to hard dead ends at the U.S. Constitution, and the current SCOTUS now appears to be in a state of being willing to hear 2A cases.  We did our job in 2016 and the SCOTUS is now in pretty decent shape.  It's even money whether or not RBG will last out the remainder of Trump's 1st term.

If the Dems really want to push the issue by proposing stuff that likely result in a landmark case ending in our favor, I have to applaud their sense of timing.

54 Democrat Socialists, ONE of them from my state, have cosigned this mess. NO Republicans, so far, have signed it, and the text of the bill still hasn't been published yet.

I've said that too - BUT - there are enough leftists in this country to make it a "close thing". I know plenty of idiots in Commiefornia who think all this crap is just wonderful - and they're spreading like a contagion. Kamala Harris and the Ca "Ministry of Justice" can show them the way!
The fundamental problem isn't the politicians - they're a symptom. The fundamental problem is the people. They want this. Meanwhile, the GOP is busy driving the "undecideds" and centrists away in droves, and they have been for years. Nobody will vote Libertarian, and the Libertarian Party went full tilt Socialist last election anyway.

We ALREADY have FEDERAL LAW on the books to deal with this. Just proves that the people in the House and Senate are extremely mentally challenged, else they'd KNOW that laws already exist to handle felons/prohibited persons from possessing firearms OR ammunition. Under FEDERAL law, possession of ammunition is same-same as possession of a firearm.

Again, Liberal Democratic Socialists, UPHOLD AND ENFORCE THE LAWS ALREADY IN PLACE!

Gun-grabbers have whittled down all uncomplicated gun ownership to essentially glorified hunting rifles in repeating and semi automatic actions.

The AR15 is so hotly contested in part because it is relatively the LAST firearm in common use that looks like its military cousins. It’s effectively the last common rifle that represents an actual intent of the 2nd Amendment.

I know there are Tavors, SCARs, AUGs, etc, but consider them lumped in with the AR. Their ownership numbers combined don’t approach half the ARs owned in America.

If your “patience” is growing thin finally with background checks for ammunition you’ve been asleep at the wheel  ostensibly since 1934. Yes, yes you weren’t alive then, but in philosophy as a whole Americans have been asleep at the wheel for 85 years.

Any infringement on the 2A without a legal repeal of the 2A is treason. And politicians are getting away with it wholesale.

Wasn't there an attempt at closing the reloading "loophole" by restricting or banning the sale of primers to private individuals?

Yes. That happened back when Clinton was President, best I remember. It never made it into any legislation, though. Several politicians from that 8 years tried to talk up the restriction of powder and primers, and bullets, as a 'new' means of gun control. Thankfully it was all talk and no action. Diane Feinstein was a female bobcat with impacted molars  and serious PMS going after firearms and ammunition for Clinton's 8 years.
Before the assault weapons bill passed I still had my 01 FFL and rolled the dice and sunk a LOT of money in Chinese AKs, SKSs, and flats of 7.62x39 ammo. And I easily doubled my money on that mess. That was just crazy times; much more so than Obama's shenanigans that just made most U.S. made ammo disappear from hoarding, and some rifles and parts, and foreign made ammo, unobtainable with the import restrictions.

The thing is that these democrats/socialists/progressives are never going to allow facts and logic to interfere with their attempts to take over our country, and will say and do anything to achieve this. They operate on the principle that if they say or do something enough times people will eventually buy it, no matter how outrageous it is.

    No good deed goes unpunished...

After a week since I posted this, with a pile of cosponsors of the bill ( all gutless Democratic Socialists), the bill STILL has not been published. I guess the whole of that pestilence ridden mess called Washington, D.C. was waiting with baited (NOT a misspelling) breath for their lord and savior Mule Ears Muller to indict Trump and his family. It didn't happen, and they have lost their minds, and hopefully the will to live. :)
