The democrats should start wearing Che Guevera t-shirts and hammer & sickle pendants, because communist ideology is all they represent now. 60's and after brainwashing has achieved it's goal.
    JOE MCCARTHY WAS RIGHT:
THE DEMOCRATS ARE THE NEW COMMUNISTS!

That has always been their focus. When you have nothing positive to offer the public, you must destroy your opponent. They just don't seem to have enough good pit bulls to do the deed. Sol Alinski has to be rolling over in his grave, over a failed character assassination, and the specter of Adam Schiff becoming the Democrat version of Joe McCarthy.

The media darlings have made such fools of themselves over this poorly executed frame job that they have made Sean Hannity look like journalistic icon. All of the juicy rhetoric that used to work for them, before Trump, will now be just too boring, after salivating over his impending impeachment and imprisonment, for two years.

If the Democrats keep doubling down every time they are proven wrong, they are screwed. Somebody had better get a good idea, soon, and hope that they can find a valid candidate with enough credibility to sell it.
Serial groper Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders are the favorites, with Beto closing in. Beto will probably stumble early on, though. None of the mass that have thrown their hats in the ring can be differentiated by any clear policy; they're all on board for the New Green Deal, and the more people hear of that, the less they seem to like it.
They all speak of the "New Green Deal' warmly, but when it was voted on, merely voted "Present." Hmmm.

This would seem to indicate that the DNC political machinery is back up and running, and getting ready to squash anybody that threatens whoever they christen as the Democrat nominee....again. They have probably figured out by now that Biden is a no-go and that Bernie is only a disruptor, capable of inciting the avowed socialists against anybody that has a chance to win. They are still testing Bozo O'Rourke, but I don't see him as being able to flap his way to the top.

I think they are counting on being able to 'flip' Kamala Harris from her most overt socialist rhetoric, and 'pivoting' her a little earlier than she had planned, to secure the nomination. She was always going to have to move right for the general election, should she win the nomination.

Right now, I think they are quietly moving Buttgieg up the ladder, in case Kamala Harris gets swallowed up by a socialist backlash. He is still the dark horse, but they can power him to the top, quickly, once they get the media to stop pushing the professed socialists, in favor of the 'secret' socialists. Don't forget that Obama came out of nowhere to jump ahead of Hilary, and they are capable of doing the same with someone else.

Bozo was the odds-on favorite for such a path to stardom, after being competitive against Ted Cruz, but his flapping around and jumping up on lunch counters is turning him into a caricature, at the moment, so they may have to move Buttgieg up. He has no record, to speak of, so therefore he has less vulnerabilities. Any time his ginned up popularity falters within the party, they can always gin up some victim-hood for him, while furthering their narrative of white, Christian, heterosexual bigotry.

After what Kamala pulled in California, she is an avowed enemy of freedom of any sort. I don't see how she could "move" to the Right at all.

As long as the economy stays strong, Trump will get re-elected, probably in a landslide.  People vote their pocket books.

Alpha, read what I said.  IF the economy stays strong, Trump will get re-elected.  If it tanks, he won't.

If Congress could be restrained from spending like drunk Soviet politburo members at a nudie bar then the deficit spending could be curbed. The President, no matter who that is can only sign or veto budgets. And speaking of budgets, Congress hasn't passed one in years and years and years and years. They just pass one of those continuing resolutions and pile on more pork barrel spending when they do it. They all need shock collars installed around their necks and anyone saying the words 'increase spending' should be shocked into unconsciousness, revived, and shocked again. Radical aversion therapy is needed to get them back to sanity.

And what happens when the gov't defaults on their (fiat currency) debt?

I don't think it can. We are the fiat and we lay golden eggs fairly consistently.

Contrary to conservative talking points federal deficits have very little impact on the economy. However, the people we do have to worry about borrowing and spending like drunken sailors are consumers and businesses and they all have been doing so for the past decade. Unlike the feds, consumers and businesses don't have the power of the printing press to print themselves more money. When their debt loads get too high they actually are forced to cut back on spending to pay down debt or file for bankruptcy. Both of those things slow the economy.

I take EXTREME EXCEPTION to that drunken sailor reference. As a former drunken sailor that associated with a LOT of drunken sailors we were a LOT smarter than the idiotic bottom feeding pond scum in Congress. We stopped spending money when we ran out of it, and we ALWAYS put cab fare back to the ship in one of our shoes. :D

And you're seriously wrong about deficit spending not being a problem. Printing more money causes inflation. And deficit spending eventually rivals the national GDP and interest payments on the debt become stifling to any growth requiring ever higher taxes and fees that stifle business growth, expansion, and hiring workers. I don't know who taught you economics, but it sounds like someone that was a seriously active crack and meth addict.

And no money, no booze, either! And I can still remember the prices in Spain, France, Italy, Sicily, Sadinia, Greece, Denmark, GB and Scotland and Ireland, and the islands of the Caribbean for most of the booze and all of the fine 'ladies of the evening'. And NO! I'm not quoting prices from 47 years ago!

If you ever visit San Juan, Puerto Rico, put the Black Angus Bar and Grille on your places to visit list. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D  Been 47 years, but I could still take you to 'the sailor's guide to Earthly delights tour' in the Caribbean or any port in the Mediterranean that Navy ships visited then, and now. Time passes, former sailors age, but the ability to find these places never fades. :):p

I always considered the official 'Off Limits' list of certain establishments excellent free advertising!
