What has Joe Biden accomplished?

FisheadgibFisheadgib Senior MemberPosts: 5,600 Senior Member
I was digging around on the web about the various dems running for the presidency and in the 41 years that Biden has been in politics, he has accomplished one thing. He introduced the "violence against women act" In 41 years on the taxpayers teat, that's all he's ever done. I wonder how much he would accomplish as president?

He'd probably accomplish almost as much.

He led the attack on Anita Hill when she tried to derail the SCOTUS appointment of Clarence Thomas.  That's at least one point in his favor!

I'm gonna expand this to several presidential candidate's accomplishments. I watched the town hall with FOX and Howard Shultz and was disappointed with him as well. He seems to be pretty out of touch with the average American. Being able to get people to pay four bucks for a 50 cent cup of coffee makes you a salesman, not a president.

He's history. He's unelectable. If you Trumpers want a slam dunk hope for his nomination.

The butt-gig guy seemed hopeful as he is very intelligent and well educated (Rhodes scholar, speaks eight languages) but he appears to apply his intellectual ability towards saying what he thinks people want to hear rather than what is in his heart. He claims to have strong christian values but christianity does not accept homosexuality.

No.....his first HD lesson was to fire a blast through the door. As he quickly gained wisdom he refined it to the "racking" thingy.

Fire two blast from a double barrel 12 gauge shotgun from the patio.  It will either scare them away or leave you with an empty gun that does not even really make a good club.

Sidebar; Alpha, have you ever looked up the whole "kitty grabbing" thing, what was ACTUALLY said and in what context? Or are you just going with the outraged liberal female/CNN version of it?

Yes I have listened to the tape and also the dozen or so women who have come forward with allegations against him doing the sorts of things he bragged about doing on the tape. Not to mention the multiple porn stars he paid off to cover up affairs. I'm not in any way defending anything Biden did. He's clearly a dirty old man, but come on, the levels of self delusion required to believe Trump is even remotely better is extremely high.

I mean it doesn't mean you can't vote for him.  I just don't see why people have to convince themselves that he's somehow not a pathological lier and a lecherous creep. I guess it does create a moral quandry for some "values voters", but otherwise he seems to be doing the sorts of things many of you see to want him to do so who cares?

When you say you listened to the tape....which version was it? The CNN edited version or the actual tape?

That being said...what the guy did before he was President, who he banged or who he paid off with his personal money is his business...plenty actual Presidents had a hard time keeping it in their pants, so there is no "moral quandry" for me...you got no idea how little I care.,

Come on... really? You guys are questioning what Trump said on tape when it is fact he was banging a porn star and a Playboy Bunny right after his last child was born. Then he paid them off to keep quiet about it before the election.

He was "plowing their bean patch" (planting his seed).

Seriously? Love him or hate him... he did that. Biden? Hell yea he is a creeper.

Actually Jerm...it's more of a case that I don't give a rats ass about what he said or who he was banging when...since he was on his own time and not " the peoples"... Apparently I'm supposed to be morally outraged....

Kavanaugh had allegations too, all which have been debunked. I'm not a moral purist, but Trump's allegations against him have not been proven.

Clinton was getting hummers in the oval office and got busted for it and still got reelected afterwards. Wasn't alot of "moral outrage" then and I didn't really care and I don't care now.

    Spare me the outrage, please.

Once we get the same set of rules and laws that apply equally to both sides, then we can start the moral evaluations, if that is the way you want to play it. Until then, we will have to settle for what is really nothing more than children arguing and playing 'got you last.'

If the Democrats are allowed to deny everything until the FBI has investigated it and the Supreme Court has ruled on it, then they will have to accept the same from Republicans. As long as you employ the same type of gossip against Trump that you have chastized others for using against Obama or the Clintons, you have no credibility as the arbiter of morality.
