New Guy here...

Been lurking for a bit, getting the lay of the land.  Lifelong love of guns and all stuff guns related so I would love to participate to the best of my abilities.  Now I'll go back to my corner and stay out of the way, and I'll make sure I stay away from that black trap door marked "Politics Forum".

    1911 but I know some folks can't handle real handguns.  I won't look down on them for their infirmities  B)

    Not having enough money to own them all.

    I didn't see any mention of hunting...do you like to kill critters?

    No, there are a few gun guys here who do not play blood sports.

    It’s all good.  I enjoy hunting a lot but find myself with a lot less time to do it than I used to.  Maybe too many hobbies.  Still does not stop me from buying more hunting rifles.

    You shoot it until the groups tighten up.  Then you alternate shooting and cleaning as necessary until the groups consistently open up.  Then you buy a new barrel and start the cycle again.

    Seriously - welcome to the fun.  This place has provided decades of fun for folks and is a bastion of great info.  I think you will love it.
    Glock or Hi-Point?  They are both crack whore ugly guns but hey, they go bang no?  They both have their place in the world.  That place is just not in my hands.  

    I’ve owned quite a few Glocks but have never managed to retain them.  I have a 43 and it’s an ok gun but not my favorite.  The new 48 might change all this but the jury is still out on that one.  

    Personally I believe that God himself and JMB sat together to design the 1911 and who am I to screw around with Divine Design.

    Not yet but my lawyer is getting a little nervous.  Will not ask about the dancing, I kind’a want to stick to gun talk and I’m pretty sure the topic will present itself without me having to ask anyway.
