American Gunfight

A few years ago Stephen Hunter (author of Point of Impact - which evolved into the movie "Shooter" and a host of other good reads) wrote a non-fiction piece called "American Gunfight - The plot to kill Harry Truman - and the shootout that stopped it". A remarkable read...in about 350 pages, Hunter dissects the plot and the gunfight outside Blair House. Very interesting, well-written book about an incident that few today even know occurred...

Also enjoyed Dirty White Boys, the gunfight book dissected the shooting down to nth degree.

I've read some of his books, since I got the Kindle, and liked them all. First novels I've been able to stick with, in several years, except for Dan's.
