Picked this old gal up while on vacation. She is over a centry in age but still one of if not the finest revolvers ever made.
Elmer and Skeeter thought so.

It is commonly called a triplelock
Because?.......well it does lock up in 3 spots.
I'm slowly getting her to perk up some.

Weatherby, YOU SUCK! You have a beautiful collection of the best revolvers on the planet. You have just about all of 'em. All I crave is one measly Model 29.

Funny. . .Last night I was helping my dad sort through a pile of Old, Deceased Shooter gear that came my way - bunch of molds.  One is an old Ideal 429251 with integral handles that is reputed to be the standard, back-in-the-day 253 grain round nose for the .44 Russian and Special.  I think you need to send that revolver to me so I have the correct accessory for my mold.

You have just committed a mighty and unprecedented inhalation.  It's nickel though, so I think we can prooooobably still be friends.  You came up with a blue one, I'm thinking it'd be pretty much over. :D

Wow, that is yet another cool find. Does bringing it back to life mean it is not shootable as is?

    The mechanics are perfect
Just reviving the original nickel some. The facelift has been coming along pretty well.
The first picture notice the ejector shroud and barrel color.
I had worked on it a little.
Picture 2 was after a bit more work.
Pictures got reversed but it's making progress

About an hour's worth, but it covers N-frame Genesis pretty well.

Note the lack of divot in the recoil shield that the modern Smiths have to press the center pin back in when closing the cylinder.  On this gun, the initial movement of the locking parts starts at the crane on closing, and the center pin pops back on final close.

I was actually thinking of MOP grips myself - they would look pretty good on a gun like that.
