The shooter in Dayton, OH "unloaded a handgun equipped with 100 round drum magazines". Personally I have never seen or heard of a .45 ACP 100 round drum magazine for a handgun. Only for Thompsons. That would be one heavy handgun and I wonder if the magazine catch would hold it. When I "unload" a semi auto handgun I remove the magazine and eject the round from the chamber. It is then not capable of firing.

The Democratic pundit on tv claims that 90% of the American public wants more gun control. And further predicts extreme frustration by that claimed overwhelming majority in what he termed as a failure of democracy to act on what the majority wants. In his continuing prediction, this frustration will be a huge factor in the upcoming election.

I've heard past claims by those seeking to influence policy that a small percentage of people own the all of the privately owned firearms in comparison to the entire population.

There's a redundant attempt to paint gun owners and second amendment supporters as a significant mathematical minority. A minority imposing itself unjustly on the majority through political monetary influence.

We all know and continually debate the right and wrong of gun control itself.

    But....

I've always been suspicious about being characterised as a minority.

    And....

If we are a minority. Aren't we eligible to the same dynamic considerations as any other minority seeking just treatment under due process law, often imposed by a tyrannical majority???

I'd like to see a credible mathematical quantification to combat the unsubstantiated claims.

If we are a minority. I'd like the language to reflect the same oppressed minority status as other minority groups.

We know those numbers are BS.  Can you imagine how many handguns are in drawers and closets across America?  Those people do not publicly support either side, but want their gun to protect them and theirs and silently vote that way also

I love it! Affirmative Action! Free Stuff! I certainly resent being an oppressed minority.

The vast majority of gun owners are white men. It is the single demographic the left hates most. No special privileges for us, except the funding we provide.
When our governing officials dismiss due process as mere semantics, when they exercise powers they don’t have and ignore duties they actually bear, and when we let them get away with it, we have ceased to be our own rulers.

    He used an AR-15 pistol.

And they make 100 round mags for Glocks.
    Meh.

I read the article. I actually like a politician who says he is going to take guns away. It’s always fun to throw their quotes at someone telling me “nobody’s going to take your guns.”

Beto just became the new Feinstein.

What bothers me is they try to present all white male Combat Veterans as potential mass mass shooters. They assume we all have PTSD that we can't deal with. I carry a five shot 38 strictly for self defense.
