On 21 October, 1969, I left Vietnam.  During my year's stay, I had been a rifle platoon leader, an XO,  and a Recon Platoon Leader.  I've grown older, uglier, and fatter since then.  Here's me in 69

It wasn't all that bad.  Lots of GIs had it worse than me.  I don't feel bitter toward VN, only feel bitter toward Red Jane Fonda.
