.38 Special handload experiment

following up on Zee’s goofing with 357 Trailboss loads and shooting into water, I loaded up two different 4Grain Trailboss loads using different Backwards HBWC slugs-
One was the Matts Bullets 152 Grain dead soft lead, and the other was the Berry’s plated 148 Grain HBWC.
Both shot into water. Matt’s 152 grain went through one jug, stopped in the second and expanded to 70 caliber.
Berry’s blew through 12” of water with no expansion, then went about 3” into the soggy red sand backstop.

I just bought some ballistics gel, and plan to load some of those Berry’s into .357 and run through longer barrels and see if we can get those to upset.

To make something simple is a thousand times more difficult than to make something complex.

The soft lead one looks pretty. Should knock out an unfriendly feral dog or more if needed.
4” Barrel, right?
