Son’s first deer

Last saturday was the opener for our deer hunting season here in Minnesota.  After 5 years of hunting, my son finally got his first deer!  He was pretty proud of her and she was a beautiful doe.  Shot her through the back of the head and out her left eye, no meat damage

Corn on one side of the field, the other side is turnips and radishes which the deer love. It was a perfect set up this year

We are in a shotgun only zone here in southern Minnesota, Remington 870 with slug barrel

That's great!  Thanks for sharing.  I remember my first deer like it was yesterday.

That deer will be long gone before you know it but the memory will remain for a long, long time.
