Mounting a scope on my Remington Express

There's some public land near me, but the regs only allow one to use archery tackle or shotguns with slugs for hunting. I have a Remington Express 12 gauge that has a screw in choke barrel. I'm thinking of getting a rifled slug choke tube, but need something more than a bead at the muzzle for aiming.
The gun is not tapped and drilled for a scope mount, but does have a ventilated rib. Does anyone know of a scope mount that I can attach to the rib?
Also, any recommendations on what scope or aiming device such as a red dot that would be good for this? I figure 100 yards would be an extremely long shot for this combo. I have some scopes I could use, including an old Lyman 1.75 - 5x that I could pull from one of my rifles.
I want to minimize my cost to make this a reasonably decent slug gun, as I don't really know how much I would be using it.
I should also add that archery tackle is a no go for me.
Thanks,

I've hunted with slug guns my whole life. I've learned a few things.
Here's what I know,
If you intend to use rifled slugs, forget the rifled choke tube, just use a MOD or IC. Rifled slugs that mesh with your gun are usually minute of deer, but dropping like a rock at 100 yards.
A rifled choke tube isn't usually enough to fully utilize the accuracy potential of sabot slugs. Sabots are stupid expensive.
A saddle scope mount will work ok, but, the recoil of a 12 ga slug gun will destroy inexpensive optics, mounts, bases quickly. Usually your first shot at a deer is when they let go.
The best system is a rifled, cantilever scope mount barrel. Crazy accurate, with sabots it likes, and, your optic stays mounted to the barrel, eliminating the need to sight it in from scratch every year. Unfortunately, they're pretty expensive. $299 at Midway.
Second best is any barrel with rifle sights.
Often, at least around here, there are sales on slug guns just before the season, and you can usually buy an entire new "slug gun" for the same price as a barrel. $421 at Buds, currently. They will probably be $369 on Black Friday.
