While I was at the lgs this morning the owner pulled out a Rem 760/7600 in .308. ~27 yrs ago the gun owner jumped a ditch and somehow managed to get mud in the barrel. Then for some reason he shot it. You can see what happened. He put it in the back of his safe and forgot about it. Recently he gave it to his son who traded to the lgs owner. He's got a local gunsmith who will rebarrel it.

Had my 10/22 so jammed with snow I couldn't clear it. Had to snow shoe back to camp and get a back up rifle.

Overnight snow covered an ice seep. When my feet hit the sky I slid like an Olympic bobsled.

Those rifle can really shoot and there are some interesting cartridge options that can extend the range of that rifle or turn it into a real close range thumper.358 Win comes to mind.
