Huntsville police officer and decorated army veteran Billy Clardy was shot and killed by a POS drug dealer yesterday during an attempted sting.  The POS had a record a mile long in TN, including agravated assault, kidnapping, impersonating a cop, carjacking and on and on.  Thank TN for allowing your trash to run free.  The officer was wearing a vest but somehow the bullet went over the top edge and into his heart.  He was a 14 year vet with 5 kids and a well known advocate for the homeless.  A member of multi department drug task force.  His father also died on duty in 1978 in a fatal crash.  Their names will be beside each other on the fallen officers memorial.  First HPD officer lost in 12 years.  For some reason, the POS is still breathing and in custody.

RIP Officer Clardy🇺🇸
