Been here and got the tee shirt. Rodents love the plastic wiring and water pipes. 5th wheels are nice as they have good storage and access underneath. It's easy to find and identify issues. No matter what you'll need a tarp or car porch to keep it under. They are notorious for leaking especially if they have a or two pullout. Keep them clean, lift up and put on blocks. Sprinkle cayenne pepper inside the crawl spaces to help keep the rodents at bay.

Best of luck.  Once it's setup and ready to go they're really quite nice.
Distance is not an issue, but the wind can make it interesting!

Well, unfortunately it looks like the deal is falling through. It ain’t 100% dead yet, but it’s on critical life support and the next of kin has an insurance policy and itching to pull the plug.

Drat. Oh well, this got the wife excited, and we may start looking for one that fits the actual vehicles we own to pull it

There are plenty out there that will work fine for your purposes (setting up an outpost at your camp) that will be going for cheap. Seriously... a few bucks above scrap value. If you are patient, one will turn up.
